Use maps for field planning
Maps combine saved locations from several HiveAware record types. They are most useful when apiary and trap coordinates are kept current.
Review your map
- Open Maps.
- Choose the workspace and available map filters.
- Review apiary, hive, and swarm-trap locations.
- Open a marker to identify the connected record.
- Correct the source record if a marker is missing or misplaced.
Map positions come from the saved record. Edit an apiary, hive, or trap rather than treating the map as a separate copy.
Add a neighboring yard
Feature availability
Neighbor Yards appears when neighboring-yard records are enabled for the current workspace.
- Open Neighbor Yards or the related map control.
- Add the known location and a clear name.
- Record lightweight ownership or contact notes only when appropriate.
- Save and confirm the location appears on the map.
Neighbor-yard entries provide local context. They do not grant another beekeeper access to your workspace and should not contain unnecessary personal information.
