Record an inspection
Use Inspect as the source of truth for what you observed at the hive.
Start the record
- Open Inspect.
- Select the apiary and hive, or open the hive from a QR label.
- Confirm the inspection date.
- Record the frame counts and colony observations you can verify.
- Open advanced fields when you need more detail for brood, food, queen status, temperament, pests, or other conditions.
- Add notes that will still make sense before the next visit.
- Attach photos when they document a condition or change.
- Save the inspection.
Turn findings into work
Use the follow-up controls to create work for feeding, treatment, rechecks, repairs, queen checks, or equipment needs. Give each task a useful date and connect it to the hive when possible.
Use AI Assist when available
Some workspaces can turn long-form inspection text or device voice input into a proposed report.
- Enter or dictate the source observations.
- Ask AI Assist to process the report.
- Review every proposed field against what you actually observed.
- Correct or remove anything uncertain.
- Save only after the structured record is accurate.
caution
AI Assist is an entry aid, not an inspection. You remain responsible for checking every generated value before saving.
Confirm the result
Open History or the hive timeline. Confirm the inspection appears under the intended hive and that any follow-up task has the correct date.
