Track tasks and follow-ups

Create a task whenever work needs a date, owner, priority, or completion record.

Add a task

  1. Open Tasks.
  2. Choose Add task.
  3. Write a specific action, such as “Recheck queen cells” or “Replace damaged cover.”
  4. Assign the apiary and hive when the work belongs to a colony.
  5. Set the date, priority, and status.
  6. Add only the notes needed to complete the work.
  7. Save the task.

Tasks can also be created while recording an inspection. That is often the fastest way to preserve the reason for the follow-up.

Work the list

Use filters and sorting to focus on overdue, upcoming, open, or completed work. Before a yard visit, review tasks alongside History and Maps.

Complete a task

Open the task, record any useful completion note, and mark it complete. If the action produced a treatment, feeding, inspection, or configuration change, create that domain record too. A completed task records that work happened; the connected record preserves the operational detail.

tip

Write tasks as actions. “Check mite count” is easier to complete than “Mites.”
